Through 6 virtual sessions with a ReStory coach with ministry and/or missions experience, you’ll follow a curriculum and explore aspects of story as it relates to working with a team, in cross-cultural environments, and under stress.

Pre-Field Preparation Coaching Pathway
While each minister is heading into a unique situation, shared themes inform our preparation pathway.

In this session, our focus is on the currency of relationship: how we connect, like to be connected to, and how we bring those expectations into the context of the missions field/ministry.

In this session, we’ll dive into how your past impacts your present based on some pre-work from our course and other readings.

In this session, you’ll come with a story of your family of origin and we’ll get into some ways that the climate of your family shapes you today.

In this session, we’ll look at how our traumas and triggers might hinder us from ministering to people, and why attending to our trauma is critical.

In this session, we’ll explore how to learn to recognize the ways your physical body is connected and responding to your emotional being.

In this last session, we’ll talk through healthy steps for you uniquely to avoid burnout and what to do when you’re running on “E” on the field.

The ReStory® Course
Chris spent 10 years on staff with Cru, mostly leading teams internationally and has been in some form of vocational ministry ever since. Chris is an ordained pastor and the CEO of Restoration Project as well as founder of ReStory Counseling.

Michael Krommendyk, MDiv
Pre-Field Preparation Coach
Michael spent 20 years in church ministry and pastoral care prior to joining the team at ReStory to offer Storywork Coaching and coordination of our local ministry network. Michael is also on staff with Restoration Project.
