  • My therapeutic approach is informed by narrative, person-centered, and rational emotive behavioral therapies. So, what does this mean for our time together?

My approach is based on my passionate belief that we are created for deep and abiding relationships with one another. The counseling relationship reflects this belief. To be in a relationship means to be authentic and be seen for who you are without fear of judgment. It is only within this type of environment that healing can flourish. Exposing our brokenness enables others to tenderly walk with us in order to illicit redemptive restoration in our lives. Joining you in your journey is an honor and privilege that is not taken lightly. Together we will understand your story, explore and embrace aspects that are meaningful and helpful to you, and acknowledge and discard what is no longer useful for you. While this is challenging work, it is deep and purposeful work resulting in joy and abounding freedom.

  • I was diagnosed with an incurable chronic illness and my original plans were shattered. Thus, I was given a new story to navigate that held moments of grief and despair. Through prayer and intentional relationships, I am now living a new story of my life that is more meaningful and joyful than I could have ever imagined. It is my story that enables me to so genuinely care for others as they discover their own stories.

Over the last nine years I have lived in the oil fields of North Dakota. Due to the oil boom, the world was brought to us with a diversity of people and their experiences. For nine years I co-led a group that focused on relationships, personal growth, and being authentic. I flourished in this ever-changing environment because I love people and their unique backgrounds.

When not engaging with my clients, I spend time with my husband of 14 years and our fluffy fur babies. Traveling is one of my greatest loves and I take every opportunity I can to explore new places. I am a lifelong learner who is always seeking an adventure! I am also an avid reader, movie buff, and animal lover.
