wholeness. freedom. worth.
Hi there! My name is Beckie and I am counseling as an Intern for the completion of my master’s program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Denver Seminary. I am under the direct supervision of Chris Bruno, LPC.
Prior to enrolling at Denver Seminary, I graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in human nutrition and shortly after, became a registered dietitian.
After years of working with clients regarding health, body image, self-care, and worth, I decided to seek further training in counseling. My work experience in the field of dietetics showed me the critical nature of being wholly healthy- not just physically healthy, but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually healthy as well.

As you and I walk through the counseling process together, two things are really important to me. First, that you feel safe and second, that you feel known. My hope is that as our relationship grows, you will feel secure enough to safely risk being vulnerable, being honest, and being truly seen.
I believe that our authentic and mutual relationship will serve to catalyze personal growth, increase self-understanding, and optimize healing.

Who Am I? What Is My Narrative?
Just like you, I am on a continuous journey of uncovering the truest parts of my self that have been hidden, hurt, or silenced in the process of life. I am learning through scripture, through people, and through a sense of peace and joy that a greater story is being told all the time on my behalf.
